A year ago, Cori and I packed up our home and moved to Tampa with a dream in our hearts. We believed God was calling us to plant a new gospel-centered church in Northern Tampa Bay, and we wanted to follow Him with open hands and full trust. We completed the Converge Church Planters Assessment, received affirmation for the calling God placed on our lives, and went through their training so we could step into this journey with clarity and joy. Since then, we have been serving at Lakeview Church while preparing to go full time in planting Cross & Crown Church as we look to launching September of 2026.
This past year has been filled with the kindness and faithfulness of God. He has opened doors we did not expect, provided in ways we could not have imagined, and brought people to us who share this vision to see lives changed by Jesus. We are now only ten months away from launch and already fifty people have joined our launch team. That is a testimony to what God is doing in the Odessa and Land O Lakes area. We are planting this church so that people here will Know Him and Make Him Known, and we are humbled that so many people are stepping into this mission with us.
As we come to the end of the year, we want to invite you to join us in giving an end of the year gift to support this work. Our goal is to raise $25,000 so we can fund important outreach efforts, including The Good Gift Pop-Up, and continue building relationships in our community as we prepare to launch in 2026. Here is what is ahead for Cross & Crown
Good Gift Pop Up
We want to be a blessing for our community. We will have our first Good Gift Pop Up on on January 10th at Chick-Fil-A on Gunn & 54. We will giveaway free entrees and donate non-perishables to local non-profits.
21 Days of Prayer & Fasting
We want to start 2026 seeking the Lord’s face and favor for our new church. If you want to join us, we will be sending out text messages daily starting January 11th for our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Which culminates with a big potluck where we will celebrate what the Lord did in our presence.
Start-Up Party
A Start-Up Party is a relaxed, friendly gathering where people can meet the pastor and the launch team starting Cross & Crown, hear the story behind the church, and see how you can be part of building something new in our community. It is an hour long event on January 24th at Foxtail Coffee in Odessa.
Thrive & Strive 5K
We are partnering with No More as they work to end human trafficking in our community. Cross & Crown Church will be serving at their annual Thrive & Strive 5K here in Land O Lakes. This event raises awareness and support for local anti trafficking efforts, and we are grateful for the chance to come alongside an organization making a real difference in our community.
Launch of Cross & Crown
Lord willing, Cross & Crown Church is planning to launch on September 13, 2026 in the Odessa and Land O Lakes area of Central Pasco. We are actively searching for the right venue that will serve our community well and give families a place to gather, worship, and grow/ We want to plant a new gospel-centered church in northern Tampa Bay that helps people know Jesus and make Him known.

If I already give regularly, how is this different ?
Your regular giving are what sustain the ongoing ministry of Cross & Crown, helping us disciple people, serve families, and build the foundation of the church.
This year-end gift is above and beyond that regular rhythm. It’s a one-time opportunity to accelerate what God is already doing, fueling new outreach events like the Good Gift Pop-Ups, funding community partnerships, and helping us start 2026 strong as we move toward Launch Sunday.
It’s a way to finish the year with gratitude and start the next one with momentum.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes! Cross & Crown Church is a registered nonprofit organization. All gifts received or postmarked by December 31st are tax-deductible for 2025. You’ll receive a giving statement for your records early next year.
