Our values shape who we strive to become as individuals and as a community. Our desire is to grow more deeply into the character of Jesus, guiding how we live, love, and serve others.

  • What is LoveLocal?

    LoveLocal is a church-wide community service event where we come together to serve local organizations, help meet practical needs, and show the love of Jesus to our community.

  • When is the next LoveLocal event?

    Our next LoveLocal event is Saturday, October 17, 2026.

  • Who can participate?

    Everyone is welcome! Individuals, couples, families, students, and friends can all participate. There will be a variety of projects to choose from.

  • Can my kids participate?

    Yes! Many of our projects will be family-friendly. Project descriptions will include any age requirements or restrictions, so you can choose the opportunity that works best for your family.

  • Do I need any special skills or experience?

    Not at all. Most projects don’t require any special skills...just a willingness to serve. If a project requires specific skills or experience, we’ll let you know when you sign up.

  • How do I sign up?

    Review the available service projects, find one that’s a good fit for you or your family, and use the sign-up button to reserve your spot.

  • Can I serve with my friends or family?

    Absolutely! We encourage you to sign up together and serve as a team. Just make sure everyone participating is registered for the project.

  • Where will we meet?

    We’ll gather Saturday morning before heading out to our individual service projects. More details about the meeting location and schedule will be provided after you sign up.

  • What should I wear?

    Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that you don’t mind working in. Some projects may involve outdoor work, cleaning, lifting, or getting a little dirty.

  • What should I bring?

    This will depend on your service project. We’ll provide any specific instructions about tools, supplies, or other items you may need before the event.


    If you are working an outdoor service project be sure to stay hydrated and bring water!

  • Will lunch be provided?

    Yes! After the service projects are finished, everyone will come back together for lunch, fellowship, and a time to celebrate what we accomplished together.

  • What happens after we finish our project?

    All of the teams will meet back together for lunch. We’ll have an opportunity to share stories from the morning and celebrate the ways God allowed us to serve our community.

  • What if I need to cancel after signing up?

    If your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make your spot available to someone else.

  • What if I don’t know which project to choose?

    Take a look through the project descriptions and consider what would work best for your family, interests, abilities, and availability. If you’re still unsure, reach out to us and we’ll help you find the right fit.

  • What if the weather is bad?

    If weather affects a project, we’ll communicate any changes or cancellations to registered volunteers as soon as possible.

  • Why does Cross & Crown do LoveLocal?

    We believe serving our community is one practical way we can love our neighbors and show them the love of Jesus. LoveLocal gives us the opportunity to step outside the walls of the church and make a difference right where we live.
